The Hunger Games

I went to see the midnight premiere, and it was amazing! Even if you haven’t read the book, you’d probably enjoy watching it. I definitely recommend it. The actors were very well cast and helped me get over the fact that in the very beginning of the movie, for quite a while, the cameraman seemed to have forgotten there were such things as tripods. But I do think that was for an artistic element, and it certainly put me in a disoriented state (which might have been the purpose). After a while, though, the camera calms down and you can get a better sense of the surroundings.

I was a little skeptical going in, but they did a great adaptation that can really stand on its own. I’d say Jennifer Lawrence did a marvelous job, and was the strongest actor (even though they were all really good).
